The company was founded in 1979 by Manfred Jlg and Herman Kindler. When entering the ATC market in 1989, COMSOFT already had a decade of expertise in the field of communications. In that year EUROCONTROL entrusted COMSOFT with the development of RMCDE, today a de-facto standard for surveillance communication.

The history of this product reflects the development of the company itself. The number of RMCDEs grew steadily and today the system represents the cornerstone of the world's largest multi-national radar data networks, including the European RADNET.

Over the years COMSOFT not only increased the number of installed operational systems. Our product portfolio also expanded and today our products cover most of the important fields of modern ATM.
