AIDA-FPL is a modern communication gateway taking into account ICAO's flight plan reform for 2012. This change proposal implies the worldwide migration to a new flight plan format. AIDA-FPL automatically converts flight plan messages from the new flight plan format into the present format according to the ICAO-recommended conversion tables and vice versa. This guarantees the interoperability between single ATC systems and whole environments and gives air navigation service providers more flexibility in adopting the new format.
